There’s no doubt that social media has evolved markedly since its inception in 2005, although few could have imagined that it would become such a viable business and marketing tool in the digital age.

Introducing TikTok’s Creator Fund

One of the key assets available to TikTok users is the so-called ‘Creator Fund’, which sets out to reward creators for making engaging and highly marketable video content.

This was developed by the TikTok team as a way of both celebrating and supporting its most valuable creators, particularly those that regularly demonstrate dedication, spirit and ingenuity.

Of course, the fund isn’t available to everyone, as qualifying users must be at least 18 years or older. It may also not be available in all locations. However, it’s expanding and now also available in several European countries.

In terms of account activity, the Creator Fund is only available to users who boast at least 10,000 authentic followers, alongside a minimum of 100,000 tangible video views over the period of the last 30 days.

Of course, it goes without saying that the videos created must also be produced in line with TikTok’s Community Guidelines, so this is another consideration if you want to benefit from rewards as a participant.

If you believe that you meet all of these eligibility requirements and want to participate in the fund, you can apply relatively simply by opening up your account settings and selecting the ‘Creator Account’ tab.

Then, simply click through the ‘TikTok Creator Fund’ tab, before completing the process and starting the process of earning rewards in relation to the high-quality content that you produce.

What’s the Creator Marketplace?

As part of the program, there are several factors that will ultimately determine how funds are calculated for videos.

These include elements such as video views, engagement and the extent to which content conforms with the aforementioned Community Guidelines, as well as the conditions laid out in the Terms of Service.

If you do have an account that qualifies for the Creator Fund, you may also want to consider TikTok’s ‘Creator Marketplace’. This is the site’s official platform for specific brand and creator collaborations on TikTok, which helps to forge mutually beneficial partnerships that are holistic and highly compatible.

This marketplace is underpinned by TikTok’s exclusive first-party insights, which produce accurate data on audience demographics, growth trends and the best-performing content (and creators).

These metrics, when used alongside more basic factors, can help to develop genuinely exciting brand collaborations, generating more leads for commercial users and helping creators to realise the full potential of their content.
