POSITION: Video Editor (Full-Time)

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Corporate and Commercial Video Editor, you will have a great positive ‘can-do’ attitude and work ethic and be committed to your role in our tight team.

You will be self-motivated, extremely organised and have an insane attention to detail.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Working alongside our in-house Producer/Director and Exec. Producers, your typical responsibilities will include:

Editing Duties

• Ingest footage and prep edits

• Complete the whole editing process, from first preview cut through to mastering

• Work confidently with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier Pro)

• Prepare graphics assets for titles and name straps

• Sound mix within Premiere Pro to a high standard

• Grading / Finishing

• Maintain and uphold edit, IT systems and Quality Control processes

• Work alongside other editors and visual design / animation team

• Work with Producer/Directors to help guide narrative and visual structure

• Basic motion graphics (name straps etc)

• Client liaison (where required on attended edit / VO sessions)

Other Duties

• Maintaining contemporary technical skills, and keeping up to date with current trends and processes

• Assisting with the technical development and mentoring of our Production Assistant Intern

• Assisting with company marketing (including content for website)

• General office duties

DESIRABLE SKILLS (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)

• After Effects / motion graphics knowledge and application

• Camera operation skills / experience

EDIT ASSESSMENT

Short-listed candidates may be required to spend a day or half day at Slinky in Birmingham completing an edit assessment. All candidates will have the same brief and this will be used to assess the successful candidate.
